Founded in 2006, Tanner Goods spares no details when crafting its range of wallets. Case in point: the company uses the same hide for each piece to ensure exact color matching. This American-made bi-fold utilizes from 3.5-ounce natural tooling leather. The interior features six slots for cards and one pocket for cash. It can be monogrammed for an extra $20.
I purchased this wallet back in 2009, when I realized I was going through at least 3 wallets per year. I needed something to stand up to the abuse, so I thought HEY! CF! I keep it in the front pocket of my jeans, and it goes in and out of my pockets several times per day. In other words, I put a lot of abuse on this wallet. A few years later, it is still holding up well. Just some loose strings here and there I have to cut off. Otherwise, no signs of any "real" damage. It's the best wallet I've owned in my entire life! My friends are replacing their "Louis Vuitton" and other name brand wallets every 6 months - 1 year, and my little baby is holding up well, without the hefty price tag. It even looks pretty darned good!
Super modern and stylish, the Distil Union Wally Bifold Slim Leather Wallet is your ticket to keeping all of your financial belongings close by without having to fumble through a large wallet in order to get to them. The wallet is made from premium full-grain leather that has been crafted with care to include hand-rolled edges that make it stand out from the rest with its unique eye for detail. This wallet comes with FlexLock pockets that help to keep all of your cards in place, assuring you that you will never have to worry about your cards slipping out of their positions. Another safety feature comes in the form of the NFC/RFID blocking. This stops anyone from using an RFID reader on your cards and stealing your credit card information. A durable Wally Pull tab and money clip helps keep excess materials away from your cards. Minimalist and slimline, this wallet can easily fit into any pocket, no matter the size.
Leave it to Gerber to figure out how to create one of the most minimalist cash and card carriers while still imbuing it with their signature tactical-inspired styling. The Barbill you see here is crafted with a stainless steel frame that can hold up to seven cards, thanks to the assistance of a sturdy elastic band. And the bottom-end bumper ensures that no cards slip out when it’s stashed in your pocket.
When you flip the wallet to its other side, it has a side entry pocket with an ID window. You can also put a transit pass in here — that way, you can easily pull it out while leaving the wallet in your pocket. A slot just above and behind the ID window can hold folded cash or, if you prefer, an extra card or two. There's also a pocket at the top of the wallet which fits cash.
Something else that we need to be aware of when evaluating products. True carbon fiber is expensive to make. It just is. There’s not really an effective way to “mass produce” it, so it takes a lot of man hours to physically produce the stuff. Keep this in mind when looking at the cheaper products you might find out there. In other words, if someone is selling a carbon fiber wallet for less than $10, there’s a good chance it’s not real. It’s most likely an imitation coating or type of wrap over a cheap plastic.
